The biggest problem with Apria is mismanagement. Shortfalls in Medicare reimbursement payments is the biggest excuse that there is. When there are people that do not do what should be done other than CUTTING 401K contributions, CUTTING raises, CUTTING staff. They all lead to a chain reaction effect. Equipment is substandard. Look in a warehouse and see all the garbage that has to be sent back. It is sent to the ADC only to be sent back as the same packaged garbage with a label slapped on it and sometimes in worse condition ! Just as there are cars with better records than others, so it is with other products. Out of this whole world there are better quality products that should have been used instead of this garbage that constantly breaks down and has to be replaced by the same garbage. Yes, cost is a factor. Instead of getting possible "kickbacks" for using a certain manufacturer, do the right thing and get good equipment. Stop this short term thinking ! Also a big waste of money is the S.S.R.A. It is still as tall as a person and then some. Only took 15-20 years to get from 3 copies to 2. Finally, this is a message to upper level management. There is no personal engagement between you and your employees. The ones that do the heavy lifting should at least be afforded the courtesy of someone to personally talk about issues. Not merely a venting session person, but someone who will actually LISTEN and take ACTION. It is time to do some human interaction at all levels and locations instead of getting a big paycheck and perks. Thank You for your time.

Apria Healthcare should change their name to C&C Healthcare (Cutbacks & Consolidated)
You are absolutely correct on all accounts. This statement, in particular, resonates with my own experience BIG TIME:
" Finally, this is a message to upper level management. There is no personal engagement between you and your employees. The ones that do the heavy lifting should at least be afforded the courtesy of someone to personally talk about issues."
I find Apria's managers to have an appalling lack knowledge, training and leadership skills. A person actually needs to have an iota of intelligence to realize the value of his or her employees. Upper and middle management doesn't comprehend that local employees at the branch level are the jewels hidden within the mess known as Apria Healthcare. As big a fiasco as this entire organization is, it is ONLY the little workers at this level that help this sad excuse of a company to stay afloat.
I agree with you 100% - most of the cutting is Blackstone driven, they do not care about employees, that's pretty much it.
