Sold so what?

If you're school is sold or hopes to be sold, why would you think that's good for the employees? The new ownership will not keep you. Get real

Whomever purchases the various aspects of the corporation -- will make financial decisions. In many cases, if there are duplicated services (from a leadership lens) they will release employees after an assessment is completed. No one will purchase and create a full sweep of all employees -- does not make sense. There is too much of a cost associated with hiring and training.

This is a business decision -- not a personal issue to those making the acquisition. They will assess talent prior to making final decisions.

That's not true. They will replace anyone at the top, probably down to middle-management. But, they will continue to need workers, especially instructors. So, there will be quite a number of us who will weather a transition. It's not easy to hire and train a thousand instructors. We have our schedules for the summer term, July 15, and we are ready to work.....Of course, there will be layoffs, as we will lose many students, but many of the instructors will have classes to teach and from our view, things will carry on at Everest.

Thanks for the measured and researched response, professor. You must be at the top of the business field at the university where you teach.
