We are experiencing a glitch with Skype funding that is resulting in subscriptions expiring and text credit not renewing. If this happens to you, you will receive a message such as the one below saying that “your” payment has failed. This is not a problem that you have caused, nor can you solve it. You do not need to pay for your own Skype subscription. We are working with the Skype support team and hope to have a fix early this week that will result in renewed subscriptions and credit.
In the interim, if your subscription expires and you temporarily lose the use of your Skype phone number, you can make calls and text with your own phone or use Google Voice.
