Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Interesting info about Socle

From Dr Doo Doo (a Socle employee)."SOCLE is a subsidiary of CCI. They manage the CDR for EVEREST WYOTECH HEALD (biggest clients) but they do also service NON-PROFIT SCHOOLS like Grayson College, North Central Texas College, EastWest University, and New York Film Academy." I wonder if those schools are clear that Socle is CCi? Wonder what they think about all of this? Also, CDR is Cohort Default Rate. CCi hasn't exactly gotten good press on how they handle theirs.

Didn't you know? Socle was founded in 2009 and is independent of CCi. CCi is a "client" and a "success story." Seriously, not only is that what they've posted on their website (socleeducation.com) but all of the SFS staff have changed their LinkedIn profiles to show that they've worked for "Socle" since 2009. The reason is obvious. No college would allow CCi to handle their financial aid processing. For this new scam to work the misrepresenting had to be EXTRA special. And in case anyone here doesn't know, Socle actually started up in early 2013 when SFS changed its name.

I am intelligent and professional....so i dont know who you think you are to categorize any one of is in that category.im sorry but if you are a former employee why do you care and insist that you need to respond or post anything on this site?!..the economy is tuff so maybe you just just put all of your energy into your current employer instead of worrying about past employment. .. God bless wish you the best of luck!

Well, Admissions person, let me fill you in a little. I'm in SF and posters 15139, 15144 and 15152 below you are SFS/Socle staff (probably managers). Their posts should give you an idea of their levels of intelligence and professionalism. There are some good people there, but also some incredible dummies. Anyone who has had TF train them knows what I'm talking about!

I don't know who KD is but I'm in admissions and since sfs or socle or whatvere the hell its called took over I've heard nothing but complaints about financing. Even students forced to change programs midway thru because finance didn't realize their programs weren't long enough for financial aid or something. Always something.

Are you Jesse Pinkman? If not, you might want to know more about someone before you call them a bitch. I'm not "salty" (WTF?), female, or lying. I also wasn't fired. You're not increasing your credibility with crude, hysterical and illiterate post you know. Later, beeyotches!

You bum bitches need to stop lying....KD is all about following the rules and guidelines. Maybe some of you are still salty from your firing. Stop the lying and the madness.

15139 and 15144: Glad to see management is keeping an eye on this board. Maybe you can learn something, or at least have some food for thought later on. And way to go trying to distract by pointing fingers at placement and education. What class! I just called a staff member I still know there. He confirmed that nothing has changed since I left regarding KD. That is, she is always in her office when she happens to be on site, and only talks to directors. So why are you both saying that you've never heard her saying things? It's a pretty clear giveaway that you're directors. So now I'm really motivated to contact ED. Thanks!

I have been with socle for 4 yrs and we are not the ones going against compliance. KD would never do that. Instead of calling ED about socle ppl should worry about who was manipulating grades attendance n job placement! !!

You can contact whomever you like. I have been with SFS/SOCLE for over 3 years and NEVER have I heard KD say anything of the such. Stop lying!

15125: I'm still here and you are absolutely correct about KD. That's why GB left. He was paid MUCH less than the other directors since compliance wasn't valued to begin with, then she tried to bully him into approving out-of-compliance practices. Also from very good inside sources. There rae people with verrrryyyy interesting tales to tell.

15117 - I think the press has found out because you just told them. I'm sure there are reporters following the posts here. I know there are investors doing that because the posts have been quoted on the Yahoo Finance COCO (CCi) message boards.

I used to work in SFS and was surprised that student finance hasn't been listed as an area of concern (except for Genesis of course). I have a good memory of what I saw happen and I believe I still have substantial documentation. I think it's time for me to contact ED. Maybe they haven't heard much from the SFS folks, but there were certainly some questionable practices there. In at least one instance KD actually said that we wouldn't be following the regs because they were not compatible with our business goals. I heard that second hand but from a good source

They handle a lot more than CDR. Their website (socleeducation.com)cites in their "case study" section on CCi: "The company reviews more than 350,000 financial aid applications per year, processing more than 1.4 million aid transactions annually." I wonder if they're also processing aid for their client schools? I KNOW ED wouldn't like that! And what terrible PR for those colleges if the press finds out!
