I just can't believe that there is so many awful things being said here. Yes, this is a messed up situation. I'm going to be out of a job too. But I took this job to serve others and support them in a decision to better their lives. I can't quit them now...I still can put food on the table and have a home to go to at the end of the day. Plus, an education to get me to my next destination. Can our students say that? If you don't care about them, maybe you were part of the problem to begin with.

Apparently my campus is a lot different than many of yours... We seem to have decent outlooks, nobody has walked out, everyone is working hard to help CS pull documentation together and we are showing the students that we are still here for them. And I've not heard of any drops that we didn't already see coming.... We're not working for free, we're earning our pay.
The students are the victims. No doubt about it.
@14115 did the executives care when there were broken machines in the lab? Did they care when a student came begging for help after graduation to be placed? Maybe you should blame them before taking it out on other front line staff that are told to make it happen!
My unicorn is beautiful!
People here are at fault because they expect remuneration for their services? I think you need to open the dictionary and look up the word job.
