They sold the building and leased it back. The brand/school isn't sold. Puleeze. There is a lot of financial juggling going on, and selling the building was part of it.
I can promise this is true my wife's dad works for edmc in downtown Pittsburgh sold the building for 9.9 million
Leaseback is a common business move to cut costs and possibly earn dividends on an investment. They did not sell the amazing brand.
Yes 100% true they sold it for $9.9 million and a 2 year lease back with the option of a 3rd.
