Just received a phone call from Corinthan that payroll will be made THIS week, no word if the last payroll of the term 7/11 will be made for contracted faculty. Wondering if I should hold grades hostage until I get paid.

That is just like Everest to hire an instructor who doesn't care about the students. You will receive unemployment if not so turn in the grades. God is watching. Plus, the department of education will knock on your door if you hold them. What does one thing have to do with the other. Make sure the door doesn't hit you on the way out. It's hit in hell.
I agree it is terrible for the students however I have a mortgage to pay and I think that this is a situation where it is alright to look out for yourself. I will post grades, when I get paid.
Please don't withhold grades and punish students. Aren't they suffering enough? Their degrees, if given a chance to earn them, will be from a defunct college.
Ha! People at my campus are making bets as to which paycheck will be the last we receive. There's some dark humor around here today!
I went through this process once before. I was in a position that they really needed to keep on through the dissolution process, so I was one of the last to leave. I noticed that, as time went on, some people got paychecks and others didn't. It seemed to involve some favoritism, but also was a bit random. I'd say it certainly couldn't hurt to have some leverage. You'll definitely get paid before someone who has turned everything in and, in effect, closed out the term for mgmt.
Before I started at CCi, I wouldn't have believed the troll could possibly have worked for a college. Having been with the company for a few years, I could see him/her working in Admissions.
Says the troll trying to spread misery instead of information. Based on your spelling I think it is safe to say you are NOT in academics. lol
Yeah and you prolly got s text too - it is seriously time for you to stop your sobbin! Either go teach, or stay home. Your whinning is getting tiresome!
