Not that long ago I read a librarian job post for Heald. Reading between the lines it was "We need to have someone on staff to satisfy our accreditation body, but you should never expect to see the library." Among other stuff, student retention was the librarian's responsibility...
@13866-I know it. I feel for whoever steps into my position thinking they've got a solid paycheck they can count on. It's really too bad. I knew something was up months ago when they never paid my $100 reimbursement for my ALA membership. I'll now be using it to search for new jobs! Definitely not a bad thing.
Laurie- None of that $16M can be used to pay debt...
Good to see you, Dahn. Well, I'm still waiting on that final paycheck. Going on 4 weeks now and, as I've said, I'd be shocked if it came. I do hope that those who stick this out are compensated for their time. It's interesting to see them flying my position considering they can't afford to pay my final week's pay.

The article isn't that bad, just stuff that we already knew. The comments are generally negative, though, and mostly from ex-students who couldn't get jobs.
