Ann - join the club. I was there for 3 years before I couldn't take it anymore and left. Our turnover was over 25% per year. That's not normal and should tell everybody that there is something not right about that place. And the turnover was during the height of the recession, when NOBODY wanted to leave their jobs! There gets to be a point when you just can't stay.
I don't know about "platinum." I work here and it doesn't even feel golden to me. It's like living in a vortex that is sucking my soul down, down, down. I hate what I do! I sure hope I find something else quick or I'm going to have to be another one of the Socle staff who just has had it and walks out without notice. I guess the good thing is that CCi won't be around long enough to tell future employers that I am ineligible for rehire. Yeah, if I end up walking out, I hope the company goes belly up the next day!
24465, I sure hope that's not true. It would break my heart to think that legitimate universities like TAMU and Oral Roberts are hiring infamous career college companies to run their financial aid. Since I can't speak for them, I will simply prefer to believe that these colleges do not realize they are in bed with the beast.

It is looking more and more like there will be a bankruptcy. We're told it won't affect us, but Socle had to sign the SEC letter. We would have to be included in a bankruptcy and sold/dissolved. I can't see being sold. We're doing okay now because we don't let clients know who we are. That won't last forever, CCI's too high profile of a disaster! Once it gets out and Socle = Corinthian Colleges in people's minds, the gig is up. Any potential buyer would know that.
24429 - the sad thing is ED doesn't seem to even realize what Socle is up to. They are very sneaky, and like the degenerates they are they hope to stay below the radar. Then when the bankruptcy hits it will be chaos. The clients don't know their vendor is CCi. They'll hear about that but not understand why nobody is answering the phone!
Anonymous24415: I don't feel sorry for the employees. They have had plenty of red flags to let them know to find a new job. I feel sorry for the client colleges' students. When CCi (and Socle) go bankrupt, they will be left high and dry!
We really are golden. 10% cuts and voluntary time off is just for CCi chumps, not Socle employees. We're special.
We're not all idiots. Those of us at CSC have other opportunities lined up and are just collecting the paychecks while they last. It's not a bad job market here, especially in certain fields. Shame to have CCi on the resume, but I suppose I'll do like everyone else and just put Socle. I started in 2011 and Socle didn't exist until 2013, but what the hey!
Poor new BA. Why would they even do that to someone? Well, I guess the idiot OP answered that. Socle really have managed to keep their folks in the dark. Probably through a combination of not hiring the brightest bulbs on the tree and blatant, shameless lying to them. It's a shame.
