Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Any word on EUO and ECPO besides what we already know? Any news at all? Students still do not have their textbooks, to my knowledge...

Anonymous23526- 9,000 fewer students. What's that, a reduction of about 500 FTE instructors?

This isn't new news, but I am one of the adjuncts who got the boot. This isn't new news either: it sucks.

How much worse will it get once they disclose this: "Under an agreement reached Thursday, Corinthian must now post disclosures online about the pending sale of its schools and clearly tell current students that schools will be sold."

A loss of 9,000 students is 33% of the 27,000 online students, and more than 10% of CCi's total student population. Another 10% to 13% loss in revenues... How long can this go on?

Anonymous23511- That would explain all the empty sections that have been discussed here.

Everest Online FTF here, we were recently told our student enrollment has dropped from 27,000 online last term, to just 16,000 enrolled this term. We are bleeding students. Not sure where things will go from here, I don't think they can pay the bills if students keep dropping/not enrolling. The word is definitely getting out.
