March 8, 2014: Former Admission Rep discusses "Smile and Dial"

In 2009 and 2010 I was told what a great job I did, enrolling the students who were lined up out the door begging to take classes. When the student weren't lined up begging to take classes, I was blamed for not "smiling and dialing" properly. You know, cannot complain about enrollment numbers, but management can complain that I didn't smile correctly. So from Parthenon to you didn't smile right to looking for a new employer. Many students benefited from the education. My guess is that my replacement cannot smile any better, likely has fewer enrollments, a lower enrollment rate, and such, but since there was a slack in lead flow, I was sent packing after 10 years with the company. After 10 years of loyal support, what was I supposed to do, suddenly think the school is a total scam and give two weeks' notice? That said, the school has changed a lot, and for the worse, over the last few years. Remember all you have to do is "smile and dial." www.thelayoff.com/corinthian-colleges/post/5721422773092352
