Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Will students drop this week if they don't have texts?

How can they be expected to at catch up? It's hard enough trying to retain students. Now it's our job to convince students without textbooks at colleges that are for sale to bother sticking around? What's in it for them at this point?!?!? Seriously? What do they gain without textbooks and no idea if they will ever get a degree from this school? (I would ask management, but, well, you know . . .)

The online schools carry the most value to potential investors at this point, take care of them first

I guess I am confused if all campuses are having this problem as my online students have received their text books.

Students, your professor and your student services rep can only give you answers they've been told to give. Go to the dean of your department to complain or ask why you have no textbooks. Better yet, ask them how they expect you to succeed without books!

This is perfect for the military students, at least for those who mainly seek the financial benefit. Excluding, of course, California, where the Military cut CCi off.
