Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Waco's turn again soon

Waco beware. Approx end of May about 125 from engineering and HDL. Virtually no new work coming in. Current workload being completed or scaled back. Soon all that will be left is managers, directors and VPs/P.

The so called management at L-3 Waco are so out of touch with the rest of the world. They assume all they have to do is wait for things to get better.------Get rid of M.W. and N.F. and see if things don't brighten up.--I know the MEN in the military would look at us in a better light.

Waco had to hold back on lay offs due to navy aircraft did not leave on time. New quality standards are replacing key old timers with new yes boys. Customers are concerned in what is going on. Kentucky folks are now fleeing to other sites, as things they did turn south. Damage in Waco running high.

Waco WAS a great place to work. New managment (along with the JOG flunkies they brought in), IPT's, and PQN's has moved a "can-do" company attitude, to a back-stabbing, finger-pointing, totally disfunctional organization. Brand new Business Development department with their very own VP, how is that working out? Glad I found a real, meaningful job at a sister company, who is moving forward. Seems like the current defense cuts are directed to the under performers!

I see the writing on the wall as well, Waco Pres when asked directly if there would be more layoffs stated that there were "none planned".L-3's business approach resembles a train wreck, never witnessed a planned train wreck.

Soon all that will be left here will be Bubba, the Good ole boys and immediate family, unfortunately they will be too busy playing pocket pool to build aircraft.

Sounds reasonable. Hand writing on the wall. But we did just have an all hands with Waco pres. He couldn't understand why morale is so low. I do know many good people are jumping ship. For good reason. Unless something happens, this place will shutter in 12 months. Way to go Business Development.!
