Everest College - Vancouver. Christmas Break Starts 12/24/2014 (Wednesday; Christmas Eve) ends 12/28/2014 (Sunday). But, don't worry, after attending class for two days follow the big break, you get two days off: Wednesday New Year's Eve and Thursday New Year's Day. Then back at it Friday.

Wouldn't starting a new mod track require an additional instructor? Also if you had morning and night mods, then that's two new instructors. Employees, especially admissions, never get breaks anyway, so what's the difference to the students? lol
If they were smart they would create a new mod start on a new track. Then leave the current student on break. Once the mod is over give the new students a two week break and blend them into the current tracks schedule. But instead they cut the Christmas break. For all. This Will cause drops. Trust me. Better have a student appreciation day first day back.
Why do you think the Christmas break was cut so short?

The minute attendance is entered the money is counted for. Most will sit those two days or one of those two days, be charged and never return. Doesn't matter because they will be counted for and not dropped for at least a month. This is why cc I will never win in the end. Chasing the buck ends in lawsuits and bad students graduating to never get a job. If you enroll good students at good timing for the student to start a new change then they graduate and find jobs. Never gonna happen. Cci simply wants to enroll last minute, not ready, no daycare, no ride, no housing students.
They most likely created an addendum to the catalog. Number are down and they need the start for the month to count. Even if 10 students sit in class those two days COCO wins.
Where did you get this information? The catalog that I've seen has the Winter break from December 23 to January 2. Besides... what does having classes on those two days have to do with revenue? Aren't the charges based on unit load not days the classes are held?
Can someone help me understand what happened here?
I did! The great OZ!!!!
Who suggested CCi would be out of business by the end of the year?
Wait a minute. I thought the consensus was that CCi would be out of business by then.
Wonder if admissions will be working on Christmas this year to make the requisite 800 daily dials.
