Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Vets being abused?

So Camden Kid comes here suggesting that the for-profit industry is taking advantage of Vets, some of whom have mental or physical injuries from service. Let's take a person with PTSD. Such person gets rejected from other schools, or fails out, and then another school provides an educational opportunity to use all that military benefit that would otherwise be lost. Camden Kid is basically suggesting that because the PTSD doesn't suddenly get cured with the for-profit education, for-profit should not be an option.

What are the other options for someone with a bad case of PTSD? No education? For-profit with the understanding that the PTSD might not suddenly disappear?

What exactly does Camden Kid expect?

University of Phoenix is still an accredited legitimate degree. I get dozens of Vets every month that are referred to me by their EMPLOYERS. CamdenKid and red sucks and the rest can hate but the truth is that university of phoenix is not losing its accreditation or losing Title IV funding. Camden and the rest don't ever have a better option when they are asked to present one which is why UOPX is still the largest online school.

A diploma mill is not an "education". Everybody (vets and all) should be protected from this vapid, vacant credential.
