Camden kid is a sociologist at a community college. He has nothing better to do but get on for profit blogs. He's talk talk talk but why don't you help the situation? Instead of sitting around farting in your pants and crapping. All the non dieters need you. They are not losing a pound.

@ Civil (thats right)and Just get a life (Civil), why do you protest too much? What do you have to hide? If University of Phoenix were more transparent with the US government, and if it treated its teachers, prospective students, and other workers better, I probably wouldn't be here.
Great point Just Get a Life. There is something strange about a grown man meddling in something that has nothing to do with him. Kinda creepy actually. Do you do anything other than try to name call and talk about other peoples jobs that you know nothing about. Doesn't your little community college have a gym or pool you can spend your time on and do something healthier?
There is poverty, child abuse, rapist and so many other things to get involved with. Why waste your time worrying about any for profit organizations. Many businesses are for profit. If you were a good instructor YOU wouldn't be working for a small community college. What's wrong, Harvard didn't want you?
Anonymous9906, what competition? Many community colleges are following Apollo Group and other FPEs by being more business-like: cutting labor costs to the bone and increasingly serving corporate interests rather than the interests of working people in their communities. One good thing about many community colleges is that they don't charge the outrageous tuitions and fees that for-profit schools extract from their customers. Fewer people will get into "debt peonage" if they start at a community college versus UoP and other FPEs.
Or as I suggested: He's a guy from the competition telling everyone how bad you are.
@Camden kid is nothing. You are mostly right that I am nothing--by myself. For white collar criminals especially, a typical "technique of neutralization" is to marginalize the opposition by a variety of means. But here are the facts: University of Phoenix-Apollo Group gets hundreds of millions of dollars each year that could go to community colleges, HBCUs, and small (legitimate) private schools. When more students and their families, communities, and union members recognize what's going on, they will be protesting against predatory for-profit colleges. Go continue to buy politicians, celebrities, and activists and see what happens in the long run.
