Whoever you are, the one dipsh1t who keeps talking smack about University of Phoenix: go shove a broom handle up your fat a55, you piece of repeatin shit. Yeah we all get it: you are of the opinion that your degree from BYU was more difficultly obtained and resulted in a superior level of intelliegence and competence. You only prove your own unintelligence, for the measure of knowledge is not grades, the measure of success is not money - ah f*ck it, they don't teach you Mormon pr1cks how to think for yourselves - this is all lost on you. Just knock off the UOP bashing, you d@mn bufoon.

That's EXACTLY right, Anon7963. BYU graduates consistently show values that are of use to any agency in govt that requires employees be reliable, honest and of high moral fiber. The typical state university students have majored in beer pong, blowing glass pipes for drug use and actively trying to subvert authority, which are huge red flags on any application or review of an applicant to the NSA, CIA, FBI or DIA, to mention a few.
Actually, Anon7914, you are showing your bias. The reason that I recruited and hired BYU grads in California, was for two reasons: They excelled in academic disciplines that were of interest to us (e.g. wireless comms, radar communication, DSP); and they were more likely (than average) to be approved for higher level clearances. Your (biased) point, may have some validity, although I would state it as follows: They (BYU grads) were more likely to be supportive of authority and were often reliable to get things done. I often found them to be critical thinkers, often moreso than some of our other recent grads, to question why we had been doing things in certain ways, and to help us refine processes or systems and make them more efficient.
Without picking sides or showing my own personal bias, a main reason DoD contractors (and CIA, NSA, etc) recuit BYU grads is at least in part 'cuz they know they will get robotic and hyper-conservative "yes-people" who question nothing and go along with any old program. Duh. It's not the academics.
Wow, I was not sure whether this post was a joke, because it is hard to take seriously. To defend Univ. of Phoenix and attack BYU in the same post. Really?
I graduated from the Univ of Utah and got a 2nd degree from a noteworthy California school and I have immense respect for BYU. In many aspects of Engineering they provide a superior education than the Univ. of Utah. I worked for a large DoD contractor in California for years, and we would come to Utah to recruit at BYU, and not at the Univ. of Utah. ...Univ of Phoenix was off the radar entirely. To be honest, I am not sure what degree(s) they offer.
Univ of Utah is a great state school. BYU provides a very good education.
...just saying.
hey jesus - I am assuming it is pronounced heyzeus because the other dude is fictional, i didn't go to BYU, I think university of phoenix is a waste of money and time (why the company paid for that garbage I have no idea, maybe they can bill more or say they have more degreed employees) and I don't understand why you are defending a mormon supporting school, pretty stupid post, go figure
university of phoenix sucks dude, you are either delusional of fishing
this is pretty hilarious and an actual news piece, had no idea why I had never heard of this place before I moved here, but now the pieces are starting to fall into place:
"UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX TO PAY $1,875,000 FOR RELIGIOUS BIAS AGAINST NON-MORMONS"
hey 7802, I agree to a point, but you are limiting the state schools that you include - and you would be hard pressed in certain states to show up with any of those degrees mentioned and have much of a chance considering most of the hiring managers did go to unspoken state schools and they rank easily across the board with the rest of the ones you mention, I know of one in particular, rhymes with lexus, there are just aren't many of us that are stupid enough to actually leave home and move to this place
U of Phoenix is a mail-order degree mill where anyone with half a brain cell can graduate. It surprises me that L-3 promotes so many UofP idiots - we don't let UofP grads practice medicine or law, so why should we let them practice "management". BYU is a marriage factory for white anglo-saxons superstitious enough to believe they get their own planet in the after-life. Outside of Utah, no one cares about BYU. Let's face it: unless you have an Ivy League degree or a degree from Duke, Stanford, MIT, Cal Tech, Berkeley, Virginia, or Michigan, you got a shit education.
BYU vs UoP: fake church providing false sense of education or fake university providing quality toilet paper.
Sorry but I have to agree with Anon7785. UoP is an over-priced pump-up feel-good session and you must be well-aware that anyone who can write a check gets "admitted" since they really do not care to check transcripts or grades or much of anything else...not that I am defending BYU either, as they care more about the bible(s) than true education. Rankings do not lie and standards mean something. Why do you think even L3 stopped hiring BUY ENG grads? Go wipe your ass with wahtever certificate you receive from UoP.
University of Phoenix degrees are worthless and so are engineering technology degrees. L-3 is filled with both types. That certainly explains why the division has turned into a dumpster fire. Only an idiot would think that a U of Phoenix education is as good as one from a reputable university. Quality of education matters. Period.
Thank you sir, for defending our UoP honor!!
