I hope I get the axe on Thursday so I can at least get a severance because either way, I'm outta this shit hole. I should have taken the VSO because I can't take it anymore. The management is incompetent, defense budget is continually shrinking, the morale and work ethic of the employees is atrocious, SAP and Teamcenter have made my job miserable, and the division can't even turn a respectable profit despite solid bookings!
How many managers have been laid off since this whole mess started last year? One? None? Until there is turnover in this area, this division will perpetually experience the same problems. The current lineup of managers, directors, and VPs were put into place when the company was making ungodly amounts of money. Because of this, these people don't know how to deal with crisis because they never had to. Nowadays, they are tripping all over themselves trying to steer a sinking ship. All the while, they'll still somehow keep getting promoted. /rant.
