Anyone, including members of the public and Department of Defense employees (military members, civilian employees, and DoD contractor employees) may file a complaint with the DoD Hotline. Under the qui tam statute, a whistleblower who files a lawsuit bringing allegations of fraud against the government to the government’s attention may be entitled to a share of the proceeds recovered by the suit and attorney fees. You are not required to identify yourself when submitting a DoD Hotline complaint. I sure hope so! I've been charging about 2 hours a day to 1400 despite my manager's emails telling me to falsify time charges and charge a job that's not really what I work on and in fact is waiting for parts.
