Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Started with X-mas bonus

Corporate said they will no longer give X-mas to employees, stated the majority does not get them. Yet the department managers on up through management still receive a bonus each year, majority does not rule here! 1/31/14 deadline to sign Arbitration agreement so they would not get sued, 60 plus district managers added to payroll, not needed as some of them can't even make a decision when asked a question, oh I forgot they are all yes men to corporate. This promotion happened on 2/16/14. LAYOFFS STARTED 2/19/14. Guess they had to find someway to pay these people and give them the LARGE bonuses. Helpful hint, Get rid of 70% of upper management, hold them accountable for the work instead passing it down hill to lower grade employees. Also reduce corporate full-time to 30% and 70% part-time. This will give our CEO A BIGGER bonus then Last years 6.1 million dollar bonus

This place is a cult.....and if they make a mistake when they hire you they have no problem cutting you out. They are really not an engaging group of men.

This place is full of discrimination as well. Ever wonder why they tell people to sign that they will not participate in a class action lawsuit. That is because they are being investigated by the EEOC and other agencies. There are pending lawsuits against them and they just don't get it.

Mr Richard Cabela would feel so bad if he knew what the place turned into . Mary, Jim and the Cabela family should also feel bad that the good Cabela name is being tarnished. What a shame that an American Icon like this has to have such poor leadership currently.
