Regardless of how long you were with the company, maybe you weren't part of the head-hunter campaign CCI had some years ago. Employees were paid $1000 if they referred a friend or family member and that person was hired. As a result, the company is filled with friends, friends of friends and people who owe someone for their job. This is another reason you are going to find it hard to get a comment from anyone within, they are all buddies. Probably more now than ever. And of course, the higher ups aren't going to lay off their buddies. Yet.

Not true. I know of a few "higher ups" who got canned at Corporate! Nuff said
That $1,000 was long gone after the change in federal regulation, but you are right about those who have been around for a few years.
