even if you sign the severance agreement and later join a class action lawsuit, the worse that happens is you would have to repay what you were paid in the way of severance benefits. so depending on the size of your severance package, it would be worth it to sign and then wait to see if there are enough others with credible evidence of wrong doing to support a lawsuit. remember the first rule of business law - you never lose your right to sue.

If you sign you CANNOT be part of a law suit...it states that right there in black and white.. You better be sure that's what you want.

To 5277, I don't know about that campus... Sorry you lost your job. Many who were laid off were truly caring people and really worked hard with the students. Only you can decide whether or not to sign it. If you have any doubts, you could go to the EEOC to see what they say about your situation prior to signing it.

But if I sign it say I can never be a part of any lawsuits in the future class action etc.

Yes. Sign it...no reason not to unless you don't want or need money! I have it on absolute authority that 600+ employees throughout Corinthian were let go...this on the heels of the RIF which occurred last June and which took out a third of the WyoTech reps...also, Nicole Bickford, Jose Gutierrez and several other RDOA's and 'higher up's" were let go so it isn't just the rep's or lower level campus personnel. Sad to say but no one is safe and the top of the chain is absolutely to blame.
