Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

I heard something about a document folks were asked to sign.

I was up buying some stuff the other day and someone asked me if I had "signed the form"? He said it was an agreement not to sue. Sue who I have no idea and he didn't have time to talk. I don't go back to work for a while and would like to hear any scoop.

Thanks

They invited all of us to take part in a way for Cabelas to save on costs of lengthy court room litigation. It was an agreement that we would only arbitrate but they did allow current employees to opt out. You signed a form that states you understand that opting out would not affect your employment at Cabelas.

It was an arbitration agreement, company asked us to sign a form saying we won't sue them or participate in a class action suit. We had the chance to opt out. Many of us who were let go chose to opt out. Not saying that is why we lost our jobs but it strikes me as ironic.
