Service and maintenance folks will be contracted out. As far as I know this affects only Detroit. This is done through our arm DAL Global Services, DAL will be handling the process. We'll have an option to reapply for jobs but nobody guarantees that we'll get it. Also, pay will be most likely reduced significantly, I am not even sure if I want to apply. Benefits will be horrible. Newspapers are reporting this: 140 cabin service agents, 380 ramp agents, 80 cabin provision agents and 50 ramp sups. It looks like a notice was filed with the state government and cuts will begin in mid April. Good luck and God bless.
