Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Here we go again.....

As the subject line states, here we go again….the rumor mill nuts and bolts are well oiled. It’s time for the quarterly “let’s loose credibility” BITCH fest regarding the University. I must say, I’m embarrassed to associate myself with the University, not because of our brand or image, it’s because of every one of you assholes that are employed by the University. I’ve never seen such a negative bunch of winey bitches….if you don’t like your place of employment, LEAVE! Some of us drink the “Kool-Aid” and believe we have an opportunity to make the world a better place. Do I think our brand/image is respected by all companies, hell no….one would be insane to think so. If we are going to change the University for the better, we need to look at ourselves first and stand up for what’s right. Were the appraisals changed as some of you state? Who knows. What can you do about it? I’d be willing to be everyone who’s currently bitching about the appraisals, didn’t argue and accepted managements feedback. Sitting on a discussion board bitching about management and senior leadership isn’t going to change one damn thing…sure you might feel better about yourself, but you and only you can control your situation. Either suck it up and deal with it or as I stated above, leave.

As for the rumors that are starting again, I thought we would have learned our lesson from last months BUST! Will we have layoffs and what departments (if any) will be impacted, who knows. I find it funny that some of you try really, really hard at convincing the rest of us followers that layoffs are coming through your un-credible sources.

I’m sure this will offend a few of you and you’ll take the opportunity to fire back, which is fine…but before you do, let me state the following: No I’m not at Corporate or in Management. Also, I’m sure someone will find a reason to critique either my writing or spelling and associate the above to a UOP degree, for that, I say get a god damn life..we are human and all make mistakes.

not all of us (original poster excepted)are knuckle-dragging illiterates. As you didn't learn anything in your previous college, please do yourself a favor and enroll in an English composition class at a local community college as your sixth grade writing is embarrassing.

The school sucks, the leaders suck, they treat employees like shit and screw over students that have their collective lives changed for the worse

by giving them an over priced certificate and loans that will strap them for years.

What reputable schools put so much into advertising? Quality schools benefit from their reputations UPX advertises to offset it's reputation cause it has a terrible reputation

No it's a-holes like you who are incapable of independent thought who have overdosed on the Kool-Aid. When an organization lies to its employees, students, and taxpayers we have a right to blow the whistle on management's shady practices. As long as this institution takes Title IV funds and VA bennies and pumps it into overly paid executives and obtuse managers, there will be watchdogs. By the way some people (me) don't even work there, but did in the past and want this shyte storm cleaned up.

Apollo Group people tonight are saying they want to reform, but I don't believe them, given their track record. The problem for some at APOL and UoP is when "low performance" means not meeting the matrix at any cost, and "low performance" is not passing every student in your class. How do I know this? Employees and former employees have told me (and showed me documentation). The truth is, APOL is saying one thing and doing another. I'm willing to talk to APOL officials (if you are reading this Ryan), but I know how corporate deviants con students, stockholders, and employees.
