Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears is sometimes brutal

I've seen people with 20 or 30 years of experience cut in no time - Sears can be brutal

I was there 10 years and left on my own found another job so glad I did now

I enjoyed my time working there but seen so many get cut before they could retire.

I quit 12 years ago and had a great boss I saw him out and he just recently got promoted to operational manager .. he was so happy and I was happy for him well 2 months later they have cut the job completely so he is out after 22 years of service to this company... They don't care about anyone anymore..... its sad .

True the company is brutal. It is looking to get rid of all full timers. We are told you are killing me. And are treated very poorly compared to the young new people. They have a flexible shift where as the full timers are working the late shift where the new hire gets the day shift. Also management leaves for the day at 2 or 3 pm. They get to have a life and a job too.
