Thread regarding Merck & Co. Inc. layoffs

I've been with Merck for over 15 years and I can tell you taht we had way too many restructurings, reorgs, people shuffling. Nobody is watching the store, and our folks are demotivated and don't care about their jobs right now. Also, our folks don't have the integrity like we used to, things are lax in this department right now. Now, outsourcing. It seems that every day something is being sent overseas, different companies are doing different things for us, it looks like Merck is not Merck anymore, we are just a brand and then the work is done boy a to of external companies. Our training program was changes and we get less quality training right now, we do not get enough training period... Finally, Merck is always a very competitive environment and you will notice back-stabbing and stealing of ideas - get used to that, that's in our DNA. The word team, is a very loose term at Merck - you are in the game for yourself first, everything else is second... You'll be run over if someone else can benefit so you have to watch for yourself over here - overall, things are not developing good here at Merck, let's see if we'll have layoffs in 2014...
