Used to be a software contractor in El Segundo and I refused to continue my contract after 6 months when they tried to bring my rate down. There was no place to sit. Contractors were sat by the windows along the cubicles watching airplanes come and go over in lax. I saw this coming. The offshoring Vietnam team (Global CyberSoft?) took over many tasks. Today in America, layoffs are normal. Just move on.
