Thread regarding Dynegy Inc. layoffs

I took a good look these last 2 days and asked myself who else I was out here fighting for and, honestly, how worthy they were of MY time. For the most part I WAS satisfied, some of them just old & new ASSHOLES but most of them were longtime friends. So I just had to look at all of the guys standing on the line and ask myself which stereotype I fell under: We have the traditional red blooded union man who believes in a fair wage for a fair days pay for themselves & their brothers and they will fight for it...you are the MEN I respect and walk proudly amongst. You conduct yourself in a respectable yet determined manner, representing yourself, as well as Local 320, with class and perserverance. Next we have the guys who repeatedly sat on their asses most of the time inside, sucking up the wages under a contract that protects them...but now they're scared because they realize if this fails they may actually have to find a new job with less wage and have to physically WORK. They know that the FREE RIDE is coming to an end and they NEED to get back inside. And finally we have our little "social misfits", the guys who only thrive within their little circle of other "social misfits". They come in abundance at Roseton and they are obvious in Danskammer as well...so nobody is untarnished. They don't give a shit about anything less than controversy, running their mouths, and what the company OWES THEM. They live on the line because they are as happy as a retard at Chuck E Cheese... misery & anger fills their blackened hearts, it's almost like a legal high to walk the line. You don't want a contract, you want to spend each day listening to the misfortune of others as they sink deeper into hell as everything they own or love starts to become jeopardized. You become angered when others don't LIVE on the line as you do...their misery is your DRUG! In fact, you will probably vote NO for ANY offer because you don't want your own little "Disneyland" to end. Listen, I know the guilty and the smartasses will come back on this...I really don't give a shit. In fact, most likely it'll be one of the latter mentioned but you know what?! THE TRUTH HURTS!!!
