Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Thanks for your comments Henry. A lot of people are really missing the human side of CHK right now. I am an employee, and it is really sad to see the new leadership play this game with their people. CHK had a culture of entrepreneurs and bold thinkers, and this has all been stripped away. Gone are the days of people excited to come to work. The new management has lost the trust of the people and it takes months if not years to ever gain half of it back. To Mr. Lawler, it is unfortunate that you choose to insult your own people less than 24hrs after their friends and colleagues were severed during the townhall. It's a little too soon to crack jokes about eating twinkies instead of working out after we've been through an emotional ride that will take time to heal. People's lives are being altered and that is no laughing matter. Today's new work culture is like a funeral home as we walk by our old employees offices frozen in time as if they have died. It was too soon announce all the perk cutbacks the day after layoffs. It's clear the direction things are headed. Icahn is behind the curtain and the only way he can cash out investment in our company is through a buyout. The smart people see it, and they will move on. It doesn't take rocket scientists to drill PUDs in the eagle ford so the production will only continue to rise regardless of who is here in this company. The money made today in the eagle ford was because of the risk Aubrey took to lease out that play ahead of most companies. It is paying off now. Aubrey's strategy wasn't a bad one. It can catch up with you in times of low prices, but it's simply placing bets on different plays ahead of others and let the engineers and geologists figure out which is better. Aubrey is living the American Captalist Story of pursuing a dream by taking a chance. Aubrey will be back. Unfortunately, CHK will be bought out in < 2 years.
