I was in Uniontown yesterday and it really is all in your perspective. I feel it was handled as well as it couldve considering the circumstances. We had no space so unless you wanted to be standing there all day instead of all morning there really was no choice. I for one would not have wanted to wait all day just so someone could go over stuff with me 1:1. I just wanted to leave as soon as i got the HR email but still had to wait over an hour! and that was with them doing this in groups. I've experienced this process at another fortune 500 company and I can tell you there's certainly worse ways to do this and less to be had in the end. Overall they did the best they could and were generous and respectful at least in my meeting. If anyone was caught by surprise by this in Utown, then shame on you. The writings been on the wall for over 6 mos. You should've had resumes together and out there by now, especially if you from OH. Ohioans know how bad the market is right now. btw another dead giveaway was the bosses beard for the last two weeks. Chalk it up to a learning experience or life lesson and move on. Good luck everyone!
