Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Bottom line is this: old tech runs the place. New tech coming on board, but years late, market share continues to slip. Imagine what 5 years from now looks like ? Lastly, the "teams".. Everyone has different priorities despite the corporate goals posted everywhere. Middle management , mainly director level don't drive the objectives down strong enough and ownership is lacking. Rude behavior is rewarded.The bar is low, very low. Raise the bar, let go of folks living in 1985 , get rid of more directors who sit around taking up space (many, not all) , embrace change , hire associates , give more contractors the boot, and stick to long term vision , with some quick wins..there is some hope, but time is running out.
