Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

I am in one of the SE teams has to work with an arrogant and bitchy test lead who complains about crappy code while the test team finds "defects" that are ridiculous. I wonder if they get paid by the number of defects found? And how come it take one RJ Test Lead to manage a Russian Test lead, who them manages the Russian testers? Why do we need the test lead then?
