Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

I left RJ many months before the layoffs and had started looking several months before that. When I left, I told everyone I knew to get out and that layoffs were coming. I immediately closed my RJ account because I knew that they were sending account information overseas. Leaving the company was the best thing I had ever done. If anyone had ever told me years back that I would be leaving RJ and not crying as I went out the door, I would have thought they were crazy. The truth is I was laughing my way out the door. Although I was extremely angry when I had left at the way employees were being treated, that anger has turned to great sadness. Sadness for the people that are left behind to endure the life of hell there and sadder still at the big hit is going to have on the local economy if RJ does not turn things around and the company ends up folding or being bought out. Although it may appear that the behavior and events that are unfolding will have little impact on such a large company. The truth is that if these are maintained for long periods of time, it will eventually hit their profit margins and impact the company as a whole. I wish much luck to those of you who are looking to leave. That is a smart move. There are better opportunities out there and no how much you are getting paid, other companies still pay more. And if you cannot find one that does, sometimes you have to take a few steps backwards to move forward at a faster rate.
