Thread regarding Manulife Financial Corp. layoffs

You haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg with jobs going overseas. For those of you who only have Manu experience with outsourcing / off shoring, most meetings at Sun are all conference calls with majority of your team in India. If this is the way Manulife is heading, you havent seen the layoffs happen yet. When it does happen, you won't need as many meeting rooms, just a phone. I don't know how the Canadian government is allowing all the foreign work but this is what is going to kill our job market in Canada. Hey a great career would be to specialize in transiting jobs overseas! There sure is a lot of demand for it.
