Thread regarding Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. layoffs

Cognizant is a big US Visa Program abuser and should be held responsible for this. The company lies and touts its HQ as NJ and uses the USA as just a place to put its name as a corporation and is a holding house for its corporate profits. It's competitive advantage is being derived from its exploitation of employing the majority of its workforce in other countries. The % of total headcount is far weighted outside the US. The jobs that they created here are just to support our local needs and social systems. As a matter of practice, they challenge every resource manager to look at any US-based FTE to replace with L1s and reward them for that as operational savings. This is a sickening work practice especially with the unemployment rate in the US where its at. I was on the layoff side of this as a Director who had perfect performance track record. They replaced me with an L1 who was half my age. I am glad to see congress is trying to address this. If you are to be a US corp then you cannot have the ability to game the US system the way they are.
