Whole chunks of the new North and South groups could be let go along with some of the others that fall in the new exploration group. The people in those groups might be able to fill each others shoes fairly easily so the decision making might not be by the person, but by the group. Other parts of the company that provide services to the new E&P business groups (like IT) will have a tougher time because many employees for the most part have specific knowledge or skills. Letting one employee go could mean losing an important ability. That decision might take more time/thought.
