Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

For example, you are an FA that has been with UOP for 3 years and you are getting merged with another campus. They will look at how long each FA has been with the company. Those who have been with the company the shortest amount of time will be cut. If by chance there is a "tie" then they will look at how long you have been in your position. Say you started as a SSC and then were promoted to FA and you have only been an FA for a year then you would be cut because someone else would have been in that position longer. This is exactly what happened to me. I was with the company for over 8 years but only in my position for 2 years so when they merged with another campus the other person was in my specific position for longer so I was cut. This is happening at every level from CD to SSC.
