Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

To the poster on 6/12 from WyoTech-- I work there too and have for some time. I truly believe that we are different than the Everest campuses and give a valuable education to our students. It costs the same as my 4-year degree, and they make the same money as I did when I got out of college! It's all about what you put into it. We always do things within compliance. Yeah, we have some of the prior homeless and students with disabilities... but I've seen some of that faction go further and do more than they could ever believe before school. We also can't just say "Oh! You have a mental disorder/missing a few fingers/are in a wheelchair? You can't come to school." Do you all know how litigious our society is? However, we have had to have tough conversations with some students before they get too far in their program about do they think they can make it in the industry with said disability. Anyways, I understand there are some shady campuses, but I truly believe that ours isn't one of them. Not saying there aren't things broken, but that's any workplace.
