Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I appreciate this site for making people aware of what the leaders are doing. Sure I have to sift through the BS and racist comments but they are easy to ignore. I get that it's a business decision and that's how it works but I spent 5+ years with UOPX and was treated like crap over the last year for coming in and doing my job. I was leaned on by my EM through the CD who was keeping a list of who they wanted to get rid of and work real hard to find any detail to blow up against you. The wrong kind of people have the power. There is an agenda that no one is sharing and it is despicable that so many will continue to lose their jobs (at least the ones who actually want to be at UOPX) while they think they will be OK because they work hard. Well, UOPX does not care if you work hard or value your students. Their employees are viewed as a source of debt and students as a source of income. To those of you still looking for a way out, don't start polishing up your resume just because of what you read on this site. Get out now. Do whatever you can to get out because you will be let go. If leadership knows you are not a career UOPX employee you are a target. I was and it took 6+ months but I am finally free of the fear that UOPX creates.
