UI benefits vs VS + $3K: I know for me, that UI benefits are around $450.00 per week minus taxes, which, if necessary, I can take for 52 weeks. The severance was about 10% of my base pay... so anyone who takes the Voluntary sep and the 3 grand could really screw themselves if they aren't HIGHLY marketable, as 3K after taxes would only cover you for about 5 weeks. Don't sign it unless you already have a job offer.
