The good thing about taking Vaca now is that you will get paid at your usual rate. When I was laid off I was paid out my vacation time but it was taxed at a bonus rate of 40%. Also, don't forget to use your one extra holiday day so that you won't lose it. Holidays you do not get paid for if you get laid off.
