Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I wonder if there will be a severance package. I wish I would have gotten laid off with a fat severance instead of just quitting. Getting laid off can sometimes be a plus... just try and have something lined up. Otherwise, yeah it sucks. I know lots of smart people at UOP that got jobs there during the recession and haven't been able to pull themselves out of there. They are better than call center material. Many would likely be making twice their salary if they invested the last few years of your life with a better company. UOPX floor jobs lock folks into mediocrity in life. Lots of vacation time to spend money you don't have. Tuition benefits not a ton better than what other companies offer. UOP is a good job for many, but I've seen way too many people waste the better part of their 20's and 30's there. Your best working years. Credibility of this site will go down if this thing doesn't happen in June. But I think we all know sooner or later it will. Funny how it appears the credibility of this site is under attack, which actually reinforces its cred.
