Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

I'm watching Scooby Doo... in the new series on CN, Velma and Shaggy hook up... and they are keeping it a secret from Daphne and Fred per Shaggy's request, until later. Now they are running from the Goblin King and Velma asks "what's happening?" all dishevelled and from the back of the Mystery Machine. Did Shaggy give her a roofie? I don't understand... and how does L-3 fit into the Scooby Doo scheme of things? I like turtles...
