Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

I know when I was laid off I received a month's pay so I would not sue the company. My husband told me not to take it but it was so tempting because HR offered to say it was mutual vs being fired and I needed the money. I believed I had a good case for harassment from my boss because he use to make ageist remarks and told us that if we went to human resources that it would cost us our jobs......I went to HR and he fired me six months later although my e-score was 85! I couldn't believe Jodi and the president stood by and let him treat me the way that he did! He literally took an 1 1/2 hours to tell me how badly I sucked giving a presentation for only a 50 minute presentation! The teacher and students liked it but he just kept giving me under 70 on my e-score (although I was good enough the year before) so he could fire me! Unbelievable! Also, he always had me and the other presenter work way more than 40 hours and he would say that since we were exempt that he could make us work weekends etc and not pay us! Does anyone know if this is true? I had to work a fair for five days, all day and night, without any extra time off. I think I should have gotten a day off for working the whole weekend!
