My manager in West (student services online) stated to my team today that layoffs are happening in June, but will not be in Education. Good for us! Bad for all you business/it/hca/ etc people. Do they really think we don't all talk? Do they really think it's edu and nursing vs. the rest of online? Joke. Enjoy your DM, BF. Newsflash: fewer employees = fewer managers! Especially since you've said people with DMs and written warnings are first. Now you've shot productivity for the next month or two in the ass, everyone is even more fearful. Not a great environment for employees. What's with all the temps now, too? Being paid 32,500 with no benefits? We've all seen them, but nobody is talking about it. They are losing good people left and right and replacing grad team employees with temps that make shit. At least I'm confident in that I make less than 45k (after 5+ years)! Never thought I'd be happy for my lackluster salary, but here we are! Get ready online, shit is about to get REAL!
