Thread regarding Walt Disney Co. layoffs

Back in January Disney started to look into different cost cutting options, it's likely studio folks will be affected but the move and layoffs will not be limited to the studio. The rumor is that some redudancies will take place due to the tech improvements - there is no external pressure here, the goal is to cut costs to increase profits as DVD sales are dropping and sports rights costs are skyrocketing. The word on the street that music will be hit as well (and interactive divisions). Way back in 2011 roughly 200 folks were cut in the interactive group as video games sales (console) were dropping.
