Its more than outsourcing although that can hurt. These are more senior layoffs and way overdue. For example lots of AVP level in Risk Management who are incompetetent and need firing. One example has been there forever and is going nowhere but blocking the way for brighter and better younger generation. She's just an example and I bet everybody has some manulife "lifer" in their mind who they think should get the golden galosh! I say good riddance to them.
