Thread regarding Dynegy Inc. layoffs

We had that piece of paper right in our hands, EVERY ONE OF US GOT IT! You know... the one called a "contract" with an expiration date of December 2013. We would be working right now, we would have an abundance of overtime, we would be doing alright. Little by little they would have eliminated us but that was eminent anyway. But instead, on the day of the vote, our Union President felt the need to put his 2 cents in and say "You guys vote what your conscience tells you...but personally, I wouldn't vote for it". You know, the same guy who it seems is dragging out our severance package over peanuts for the sake of keeping the dues debt accumulating! This is BULLSHIT! When is this nickel and diming going to be over...WHEN?!!! Let us collect our money and move on already! I hope Roseton is happy they got to keep their jobs, here's to ya! It's only a matter of time until your day comes around, the only difference is that Dynegy, or whoever in the hell owns you then, will be much more seasoned so I wouldn't be counting on any WARN payments.
