I don't think it would do anyone any good to try to fight the last, best, and final offer

I don't think it would do anyone any good to try to fight the last, best, and final offer. I doubt there are any grounds since the plants were sold to 2 different companies. For Danskammer folks, the severance package is more generous than the old contract was. For Roseton guys, it would be like saying "over here shoot me". I don't think it was anyone's fault that Daskammer is gone. Yes, if we didn't strike, we wouldn't have lost wages but they still would have shut down. I believe they were planning on running until 2014 was it not for Hurricane Sandy. Still, I don't think the land will remain vacant for long. There's just too much value in the site and with the current infrastructure in place, we'll see a modern gas/coal plant in the near future.
